A rare opportunity exists for an accomplished
Group Payroll Manager
to lead a large, complex payroll function across Australia and New Zealand.
This is a business-critical leadership role for someone who has successfully led payroll transformation within a complex organisation. If you've brought an outsourced payroll in-house, stabilised payroll following a system implementation, or built a best-practice payroll function, this is the type of challenge you've been waiting for.
Reporting into senior leadership, you'll drive both strategy and delivery, leading a high-performing team while shaping the future operating model, strengthening governance and maximising system capability.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the Group payroll function, partnering closely with Finance, HR and Operations to deliver an accurate, compliant and productive payroll service while driving continuous improvement.
Your focus will include:
Leading end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand
Driving the review and transition of the payroll operating model, including outsourced versus in-house delivery
Optimising ADP payroll systems and embedding best-practice processes
Strengthening compliance, governance and payroll controls
Building a scalable payroll function that supports future growth
Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing payroll team
Partnering with senior stakeholders to influence business outcomes
About You
We're looking for a proven payroll leader who combines strategic thinking with strong operational capability.
You'll bring:
Extensive experience leading complex, multi-site payroll functions
A proven track record delivering payroll transformation and organisational change
Experience bringing outsourced payrolls in-house or leading significant payroll operating model reviews
Deep knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, EBAs and compliance
Strong ADP or enterprise payroll systems experience
Outstanding stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to influence at Executive level
