What You'll Do
Design and build production utility suites including manufacturing-line and vehicle-level test consoles with version-controlled test execution through user-friendly GUIs
Architect and develop shared test framework substrate including test runners, instrumentation drivers, data logging, traceability hooks, and error-code libraries
Standardize and maintain declarative toolchain infrastructure using NixOS, moving from mixed Linux/Windows/macOS development environments to a single config-managed target
Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for test code deployment, version control discipline, and code review practices
Integrate test systems with Anduril factory systems including MES, Oracle ERP, and Teamcenter PLM to ensure traceability and automated data capture
Provide floor support for test failures, debugging hardware-tester-software integration issues and resolving production bottlenecks
What You Need
Degree in Software, Computer, Electrical, Mechatronic, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience
Strong Python programming skills with proven experience building, maintaining, and debugging test frameworks—not just scripts
Expert‐level Linux and command-line proficiency as your primary working environment, comfortable with system configuration, process management, and network debugging
Hands‐on experience writing software that drives test instruments and hardware through real interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, RS232/RS485, CAN, I2C, SPI, or GPIB
Practical electronics troubleshooting ability with oscilloscope, multimeter, and logic analyzer to isolate problems across product, tester, and cabling

GUI development experience building user-facing test consoles or operator interfaces with frameworks such as PyQt, Tkinter, web stacks, or LabVIEW
Software engineering discipline including version control, configuration management, test code testing, and reproducibility practices
Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government NV2 Security Clearance as an Australian citizen
Nice to Have
Experience in production test environments rather than R&D; test benches, including knowledge of technician workflows under time pressure and shift handovers
Familiarity with declarative configuration systems such as NixOS, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Experience with test frameworks including LabVIEW, TestStand, or pytest‐based test harnesses
Knowledge of test metrics including first-pass yield, false‐fail rate, tester utilization, GR&R;, and test coverage
Integration experience with MES systems (Solumina, Ae), ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite), or PLM systems (Teamcenter)
Subsea robotics, AUV, or UUV domain experience
Background in AS****/ISO **** quality environments and configuration‐management discipline
Embedded firmware experience including flashing, debugging, datasheet reading, and bootloader interaction
Experience integrating with hazardous systems such as high-voltage (up to 400V), hydraulics, or compressed gas environments
Highly competitive equity grants included in majority of full time offers; top-tier benefits package available at little to no cost to employees.
Actual salary offer varies based on work experience, education, critical skills, and business considerations.
