We are looking for an Assistant Accountant who is interested in using AI tools, Python and automation to improve accounting processes.
About the Role
This is a broad accounting role covering daily finance operations, reporting and process improvement. You will also help identify repetitive tasks that can be automated using AI tools, Python, Excel or other workflow solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Supplier invoices, payments and reconciliations
Bank and cash reconciliations
Payroll, superannuation and employee records support
Month‐end, year‐end and BAS support




Financial and management reporting
Xero and MYOB bookkeeping
General ledger and journal entries
Identify and automate repetitive accounting tasks
Use AI tools, Python, Excel or Power Query to improve finance workflows
Assist with finance system integration and process documentation
About You
Fluent in Chinese and English
Accounting, Finance or related qualification preferred
Basic accounting knowledge or relevant experience
Experience with Xero or MYOB preferred
Strong attention to detail and problem‐solving skills
Able to work independently and manage priorities
Experience or strong interest in AI tools and accounting automation
Basic Python, advanced Excel, Power Query or workflow automation skills highly regarded
Australian accounting or bookkeeping experience is an advantage
