The successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in service and repairs of civil and marine plant and equipment and on heavy machinery.Reporting to the WA Maintenance Supervisor, your main duties will include (but not limited to):Provide repairs and maintenance to plant and equipmentAssist in ordering replacement equipment, parts, and suppliesPhysically inspect and sign for delivered goods and materialsRequest orders through the Senior Mechanic or WA Maintenance SuperintendentEnsure materials are ordered and sequenced with short lead timesEfficiently and securely store materials to minimize double handling and theftAdhere to Austral HSE standard and proceduresTo be considered for the position you must have:Trade Qualifications for Plant Maintenance or Heavy Machinery MaintenanceA high level of maintenance fitting skills including installation and repairsExcellent problem-solving skills, particularly in hydraulic and control systemsVery high attention to detail and quality with a safety focused mindsetExcellent communication to ensure all processes align with our mission statement and core valuesIn-depth understanding of mechanical diagnosis and repair including drawing interpretation and applicationCurrent driver's license, preferably HRWhat's on offer:Competitive remuneration packageOpportunities for growth and progressionLong term prospectsIf you are a proactive person with a strong company focus, take pride and ownership in your contribution, valuable attention to detail and want to be part of a growing organization this could be your next long-term role.Successful candidates will be required to pass a full medical, online tests and inductions.If this position sounds like the challenging & rewarding role that you have been seeking, please apply and attach a current CV detailing your suitability for the role.All applicants will be reviewed for shortlisting.
