Our Banking and Financial Services (BFS) Finance Systems team designs, evolves and runs the core finance, tax and management reporting platforms that power Macquarie's Banking and Financial Services business.
We connect source systems to our general ledger and analytics platforms to provide accurate, timely and decision ready financial insights.
We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability.
At Macquarie, you're empowered to shape a career that is fulfilling and creates value.
You will bring your insights and expertise to the task at hand and feel supported as you make your own kind of impact for a better future.
What role will you play?
As Product Manager, you will set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a major portfolio of BFS finance systems – spanning the general ledger, accounts receivable, budgeting and forecasting, reconciliations, and finance data and analytics platforms.
You'll shape the future of our financial systems ecosystem, ensuring it is modern, scalable, and aligned to strategic goals.
A key part of your role will be translating complex finance and tax needs into clear problem statements and actionable opportunities for our engineering and architecture teams.
You will prioritise and guide feature development across data modelling, system integrations, and management reporting, assessing the feasibility and impact of all proposed changes.
You'll influence how financial data is structured and represented within our analytics platforms, while identifying practical uses of AI to modernise our capabilities.
Success in this role depends on your ability to build trusted relationships across finance, technology, and group functions—aligning priorities and enabling well‐governed, reliable data that drives better decision‐making across the BFS ecosystem.
What You Offer
You have 8+ years in product management or product ownership, with a preference for experience in business analysis and the delivery of complex, data-rich platforms.
Deep knowledge of finance, accounting, and tax technology, with a strong understanding of how finance systems, data flows, and controls interconnect.
You have a strong background in operating data platforms and a proven ability to deliver data-driven solutions to business problems.
Proven ability to translate finance requirements into a clear, prioritised backlog.
You are a skilled communicator and influencer, comfortable working with stakeholders across finance, technology, and group functions.
Practical experience with agile methodologies and prioritisation tools (e.g., jira), coupled with a service-delivery mindset focused on iterative improvement.
Technical fluency in general ledger and enterprise performance management systems (e.g., Oracle, Anaplan, TM1), along with a solid understanding of data governance, lineage, and integration patterns.
An ai‐first mindset, complemented by high levels of proactiveness, resilience, and adaptability to change.
