Clinical Nurse – UrologyLocation: St Andrews War Memorial Hospital, Brisbane.
Employment: Permanent, Full Time/Part Time.Remuneration: $***** – $***** per hour + 12% superannuation + not‐for‐profit salary packaging.
Additional penalties apply.Role SummaryAs a Clinical Nurse – Urology you will provide clinical leadership within the Urology service, support development of care pathways and ensure the department delivers secure, efficient, high‐quality patient care.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the clinical and operational readiness of the Urology service.Support the Clinical Nurse Manager and Clinical Nurse Coordinators in the ongoing development, coordination and delivery of a high‐quality Urology service.Ensure equipment, instrumentation and consumables are available and prepared for upcoming operating lists.Maintain and update surgeon preference cards and theatre pick lists to support efficient and safe theatre workflow.Coordinate the introduction, evaluation and standardisation of new equipment, instrumentation and consumables in collaboration with surgeons, CSSD and the multidisciplinary team.Mentor, coach and support junior staff, graduates and new team members to foster professional growth and excellence in urology nursing.Coordinate education, competency assessment and ongoing professional development within the Urology specialty.Act as a clinical resource for the multidisciplinary team, promoting best practice and providing expert support in urology nursing.Drive quality improvement initiatives with a focus on patient safety,



evidence‐based practice and continuous service improvement.QualificationsBachelor of Nursing degree (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration.Significant perioperative nursing experience with demonstrated expertise in Urology.Previous experience in a Clinical Nurse, Clinical Facilitator or senior perioperative role is highly desirable.Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and coaching skills.Experience coordinating specialty equipment, instrumentation and clinical resources.Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the multidisciplinary team.Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and evidence‐based practice.Australian working rights (no sponsorship offered).
