Youth Focus is a for-purpose organisation that creates brighter futures for young people in WA by offering a range of no-cost mental health services.
Established in ****, Youth Focus delivers creative and accessible mental health services and programs across WA to help young people aged 12 to 25.
We are looking for a Service Manager to join and lead our dynamic Meekatharra team!
Residential position full-time or part-time for the right candidate
From $120,000 + super + salary packaging

About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position forms part of our Senior Leadership Team at Youth Focus.
The Service Manager position is entrusted to ensure our Meekatharra services are delivered in a culturally appropriate and informed manner, managing local stakeholder relationships whilst supporting a team of clinical and non-clinical team members.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborate with young people, their families and community services to oversee culturally appropriate engagement, assessment and coordination of care for young people accessing Youth Focus
Ensure services are provided in a culturally appropriate and trauma informed manner
Completion of daily management requirements, including budgetary and people management tasks, ensuring the efficient running of our Meekatharra site
Oversee the provision of robust supervision, guidance and development structures to ensure all team members feel supported in carrying out their duties
Build and maintain relationships with varying stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships with local service providers, the community and local Elders
Oversee and manage the preparation of reports to funding bodies, corporate sponsors and other stakeholders as required
Capacity to work flexibly to meet the needs of the community
To be considered for this position, applicants will have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications (Social Work, Psychology, OT, Mental Health Nursing) and current full registration/membership with a qualified body
A passion for working with young people and working in regional/remote communities (Murchison) is advantageous
Extensive experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and awareness of cultural protocols when consulting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
Demonstrated leadership experience, including role modelling, supervision and providing support to staff
Experience in providing clinical and early intervention services to young people and families, including undertaking screening and assessment to determine a young person's needs and level of risk
Proficiency and experience in using electronic recording systems and database applications
