This role provides a unique and broad range of training experiences and learning, with supervision and mentoring from established consultant staff.
The position will work with a multidisciplinary team to oversee an HMO and undertake admissions in our community and hospital detoxification units,
develop proficiency in assessment and management of opioid use disorder and other substance use issues in our outpatient clinics and provide management advice and support to medical, emergency department and other stakeholders across Eastern Health hospitals.This is a part time position commencing in August ****.About youTo be successful in this role you will possess:Current registration with AHPRAMeet requirements for Chapter of Addiction Medicine Fellowship trainingA strong commitment to high quality careThe ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary teamExperience in alcohol and drug medicine is desirable but not a requirement for the roleHealthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
