The role

As Cognito scales rapidly, we are making our online services and digital tools a strategic priority.
To bring this vision to light, we are looking for a driven, full-stack product engineer passionate about building EdTech used by thousands of students.
At Cognito, you won't spend weeks changing the colour of a button or making microscopic build time optimisations.
Here, you'll speak to end users directly to build genuinely impactful solutions end-to-end, working closely with some of the brightest, young minds in Sydney.

What you'll do specifically
Work closely with our founding engineers, designer, and end users to design, develop, test, and publish technical solutions and web application features end-to-end
Solve high-level business problems by breaking them down into smaller, technical solutions
Work with a combination of modern technologies and frameworks, including Typescript, ReactJS, NodeJS, ExpressJS, Python, and AWS services
Incorporate AI frameworks and tools to enhance the digital services offered at Cognito
Contribute to the technical vision for Cognito in developing meaningful and impactful EdTech products
What we're looking for
Must haves
Deep passion and love for building awesome products end-to-end
Experience working in a software engineering team
Passion in being an impactful contributor of a small team in its building stage
Nice to haves
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in software engineering
Proficiency in ReactJS, NodeJS, and ExpressJS
Curiosity in business strategy and leadership
Proficiency over AWS services such as DynamoDB, Cognito, and S3
Experience with, or understanding of HSC sciences & maths
