Unique opportunity to combine hands‐on risk & compliance work with senior governance exposureHelp operationalise risk and compliance frameworks12 month fixed term contractWhere the team fits inAs Risk & Compliance Manager, you'll work within the Risk & Assurance team and report to the Head of Risk, Financial Services.
You'll act as a trusted risk partner to CampaignAgent while also supporting critical governance activities, including Executive Risk Committee coordination and reporting.This role will suit someone who enjoys balancing detail with influence, can work confidently with senior stakeholders, and brings robust financial services compliance knowledge, particularly across Australian Credit Licence obligations.Day to day you can expect to deliver on the following:Support the implementation and ongoing operation of REA's Risk Management Framework within CampaignAgentDevelop and maintain operational risk profiles, compliance obligations, key risk indicators and controlsHelp manage CampaignAgent's Australian Credit Licence obligations, including responsible manager obligations and the ASIC annual compliance certificateManage internal dispute resolution and external dispute resolution complaints, including liaison with AFCA and insurers where requiredPartner with the business to implement operational procedures and controls that support compliance obligations, governance forums and reporting requirementsFacilitate risk workshops to identify, assess and report key risks across strategic initiatives and material business changesWork with risk and legal stakeholders to assess regulatory change impacts and ensure required changes are implemented and embedded on timeOversee risk events recorded by the business to ensure they are managed in line with policy,
including containment, investigation, remediation, closure and reportingSupport reviews of major incidents to identify control gaps and opportunities to strengthen controlsAnalyse and report on key risk exposures, providing clear insight to support timely discussion, escalation and actionContribute to the annual assurance plan, including control testing oversight activitiesHelp build a culture that is risk aware, pragmatic and responsiveCoordinate and support reviews performed by internal and external parties, including regulators where appropriateGovernance and committee responsibilitiesUndertake secretariat responsibilities for the Executive Risk Committee.Ensure presenters understand requirements well in advance and that papers are submitted on time and to a high standardSupport the preparation of Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee reporting and papersWork with senior risk stakeholders to coordinate Risk Council meetings and support effective agenda ownership and executionWhat we're looking forTertiary qualificationsAt least 3 years' experience in an operational risk and/or compliance role within a financial services environmentStrong knowledge of risk and controls in financial servicesKnowledge of Australian Credit Licence,
NCCP and AML/CTF requirementsStrong experience in risk governance practicesExperience in change management and/or project managementExperience undertaking audits, compliance reviews, controls testing, internal audits or compliance assessments will be highly regardedExcellent business writing and report writing skillsStrong commercial acumen and judgementThe ability to manage competing priorities and deliver across multiple projects and initiativesExcellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to navigate challenge, conflict and complex senior relationships in a collaborative wayExperience in governance or committee secretariat support is preferred, but not essential if you bring strong governance capability and awarenessThe REA experienceThe physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we'll never stop caring about.
