In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in manufacturing, assembling, and repairing advanced composite components and structures, utilising state-of-the-art materials and processes to achieve exceptional quality and precision.We welcome applications from experienced professionals as well as those new to the field who demonstrate strong potential - comprehensive on-the-job training and development opportunities are provided to support your success and growth within the company.Key responsibilities and duties:Perform layup and infusion of composite materials to fabricate components for a range of applicationsInspect, trim, and finish composite parts in accordance with technical specificationsOperate hand tools, machinery, and equipment for cutting, shaping,
and finishing operationsPrepare moulds and apply materials following established procedures and best practicesConduct repairs and maintenance on composite parts and productsCollaborate with engineering teams to support the development and prototyping of new composite designsMaintain strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and industry regulations throughout all processesDocument project progress, troubleshoot issues, and report findings accuratelyRequired skills/experience:Demonstrated experience in a Composites Technician or comparable hands-on manufacturing role (or strong transferable skills for those entering the field)Working knowledge of composite materials, including fibre reinforcements, resins, and adhesivesFamiliarity with moulding, curing, and trimming techniquesAbility to interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specificationsHigh level of attention to detail and commitment to precision workmanshipUnderstanding of workplace safety protocols and relevant industry standardsEffective communication skills and ability to thrive in a team-oriented settingCapacity to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervisionPreferred skills/qualification:Formal qualification in composites technology, engineering fabrication, or a related disciplineHands-on experience with CNC equipment or automated composite manufacturing systemsPrior exposure to aerospace, defence, automotive, or marine composite applicationsBenefits include:Competitive remuneration packageExtensive opportunities for professional training, skill development, and career progressionAccess to modern facilities, advanced equipment, and a supportive, innovative team culturePlease note that all applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and able to provide appropriate proof of eligibility upon request.ACS Australia values diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
