Wickham Freight Lines is opening an opportunity for you to show your interest in working for us as a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, joining our workshop team at our brand-new purpose-built Melbourne Terminal.
This permanent,
full-time role offers an exciting prospect for talented individuals to contribute their expertise and be part of a dynamic work environment.As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for:Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehiclesExperience working with Kenworth, Thermo King and BPWDiagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles and equipmentPerform preventative maintenance and repairs with the intention of reducing the occurrence of breakdownsRepairing and maintaining of diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and hydraulic systemsTesting vehicle components for proper functionality and performanceCollaborating with colleagues to maintain a safe working environment and uphold industry standardsWhat we'll provide you:You will be working with a modern fleet inside a brand-new workshop with heated floorsCompetitive hourly rate, penalty rates, tool allowance and on-call ratesLong term stability and job security...we've been around for over 30 years!
