Continent Geotech Services – Thomastown VICContinent Geotech Services are currently seeking a Laboratory and Field Geotechnician , preferably but not essential with nuclear density gauge license to join us at our Thomastown facility.
This role is permanent contract for a suitable candidate for ongoing employment.
Previous experience in a similar role for 2-3 years is desirable.

the main responsibilities will involve undertaking field and laboratory testing for earthworks and geotechnical projects.You will demonstrate:Ability to work unsupervisedAbility to work within a team environmentAbility to work within set timelinesA practical approach to workStrong work ethicWillingness to learnMinimum education level of Year 12 or Certificate III qualificationYour duties will include, but are not limited to:Soil Sample PreparationTesting - Compaction/OthersManual Handling of SamplesField Sampling and TestingPavement InvestigationsPower Tools and Manual WorkCalculations and Data AnalysisComputer Data EntryWork with Quality Manual and Relative StandardsFollow Secure Work MethodsCandidates will need to have a Construction Induction Card (White Card), a driver's license.Valid Australian work visa or work rights are accepted for this position.
