Empower through action.Tradewind Australia is partnering with a community-based Domestic & Family Violence support service to recruit for a compassionate & resilient locum practioner within the Mackay region.Step into a pivotal role delivering high-quality crisis response and ongoing support to vulnerable families.
If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are committed to advocate for women and child well-being, we want to hear from you.Position OverviewThis position will provide place based and outreach case management support to women and women with children who have experienced and/ or are currently experiencing family violence.
The role also encompasses the delivery of assessment and crisis response.The role will be in instrumental in delivering high quality, safe and effective family violence and child well-being responses to those seeking support, safety, and recovery.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESEffective relationships are established with clients that encourage self-determination and participation and uphold the principles of the National Family Violence Model of Care.Case management support is provided to clients in accordance with TSA case management models and standards of practiceOngoing assessment is made of the client's issues, needs and circumstances from initial intake to exitIndividual case plans are developed in collaboration with clients and include a range of interventions that address the needs or goals of clientsCase plans are implemented and actively led by the participantClients are assisted to access holistic support services and establish community connections, and where needed are assisted through advocacy with service providersProgress and outcomes of individual case plans are regularly monitored and reviewed and where needed action is taken to ensure the plan continues to meet client needs or goalsAccurate, up to date client records and data is maintained for all clients in accordance with TSA standards and procedures using TSA information systemsRisks to clients,



staff and TSA are identified and bought to the attention of the Team Leader as soon as possibleService gaps are identified and recommendations for service delivery improvements are made to the Team LeaderKey performance indicators are met in accordance with outcome measurement timeframesParticipation in an on-call rosterQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEA tertiary qualification in Social Work or equivalent (Human Services, Psychology, Graduate certificate in Family Violence) is essential.Experience working in the family violence sector is desirable.Experience in specialist family violence and/ or child wellbeing work is highly desirableDemonstrated case management experience and skillsHighly developed time management and work prioritisation skills with an ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision requiredAdvance computer skills including experience in data and record managementCAPABILITIES OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATEAct Ethically & with IntegritySupports a culture of integrity and professionalismRepresents the organisation in an honest, ethical and professional wayHelps others to understand their obligations to reflect expected standards of behavior and codes of conductDisplay resilienceIs flexible, adaptable and maintains appropriate self-careConstructively raises and works through issues and challenges and seeks alternative solutionsKeeps control of own emotions and remains calm in the face of challenging situationsDisplays an optimistic approach to workShow RespectRecognises and respects differences in culture, style and viewpointResponds in culturally appropriate waysAcknowledges and is responsive to diversity of experiences, perspectives,
