About us
Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 334 beds, providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories.
Our theatre complex comprises of 15 theatres including both a Day Procedure Centre and a Hybrid Theatre supporting a range of acute specialties including General, Endoscopy, Colorectal, Bariatric & Liver surgery, advanced laparoscopic procedures, Cardiac, Neuro, Orthopaedic, Plastic & Reconstructive surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Vascular, ENT & Paediatric surgery
About the role
Our theatre complex has recently grown to 15 theatres including a Day Procedure Centre,Hybrid Theatre and supports a range of acute specialties including General, Endoscopy, Colorectal, Bariatric & Liver surgery, advanced laparoscopic procedures, Cardiac, Neuro, Orthopaedic, Plastic & Reconstructive surgery,Gynaecology, Urology, Vascular, ENT & Paediatric surgery.
As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:
Deliver evidence-based nursing careLiaise with the multi-disciplinary teamEnsure patient and staff safetySupervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs)



to deliver patient careDeliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needsProactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patientDocument into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminologyAt least 2years' experience as RN Anaesthetics / Recovery or have completed a graduate year in an acute hospital with rotation through Theatre.Can manage difficult incubation, use of fibre optic equipment experience, have experience in regional blocksCurrent Registration with AHPRA and have WWCCCommitment to Quality Patient CareCompliance with ACQSHC National standardsSound clinical decision making and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsWorks well independently and within a teamBasic computer skills

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement **** (Salay range between $***** and $***** + 12.5% Super)
