With a strong focus on safety, quality, and precision, they are involved in major ship and submarine projects and offer stable, ongoing work within a professional team environment.About the RoleWe are currently seeking Spray Painters / Blasters for work on ship and submarine structures.
These roles will see you working across a variety of marine environments, completing surface preparation, abrasive blasting, and industrial coating applications to strict quality standards.This position is suited to Painter/Blasters with 3 years experience in painting within the defence industryWhat You Will Be DoingSpray painting using products such as epoxies, enamels, acrylics and primersSurface preparation including mechanical prep and featheringAbrasive blasting in facilities, confined spaces,
and elevated platformsOperating high-pressure and low-pressure water blasting equipmentApplying coatings to specified thickness using wet and dry film gaugesCleaning and maintaining spray equipment (guns, pumps, pots)Completing touch-ups and finishing work across ship compartmentsReading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and work instructionsConducting basic quality checks and rectifying defectsInstalling containment and maintaining a clean work environmentWhat You Will NeedPrevious experience in spray painting and/or abrasive blasting (marine experience highly regarded)Ability to work in confined spaces and at heightsWhitecardMust be Australian Citizen due to it being defence workWhat's in It for YouWork on major marine and defence projectsOpportunity to develop specialised skills within the industrySupportive team workplace with a strong safety cultureMultiple shift options to suit your availability
