This is a part time, fixed term position at ***** hours per fortnight until 28/5/2027 working as an Occupational Therapist within the Victorian Paediatric Palliative Care Program (VPPCP) at The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH), one of Australia's leading paediatric health service.You will be working with a highly respected specialist paediatric palliative care service, supporting children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families across Victoria.
This role offers the unique prospect to provide expert, compassionate care while collaborating with healthcare teams across hospital, home and community settings.Internally, this position will be known and/or referred to as: Occupational Therapist (Grade 2).
The successful candidate will be appointed from VF6 (Grade 2, Year 1) to VF9 (Grade 2, Year 4), FTE base salary $90,****** - $103,****** per annum, pro rata for part-time, plus superannuation).
What You'll Achieve:In this position you will deliver specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention that optimises comfort, participation, mobility, independence and quality of life for children receiving palliative care.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert consultation, clinical reasoning and collaborative care planning to families and healthcare professionalsYour Skills and Experience:Occupational Therapy qualification eligible for AHPRA registrationPost-graduate clinical experience with demonstrated practice beyond entry levelStrong clinical assessment, reasoning and communication skillsA commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork and family-centred careHighly regarded:Experience in palliative careExperience in paediatric healthcareExperience working in acute or tertiary hospital settingsExperience supervising students or junior clinicianAbout the Department:The Occupational Therapy department is within the Division of Allied and Digital Health.
