General Surgery and Plastic SurgeryFour modern operating theatresDedicated day surgery admission areaOn-site imaging and pathology servicesKey Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for useAssist the surgical team by scrubbing in, passing instruments and anticipating the needs of the surgeonMonitor and manage the sterile field to ensure patient safety and prevent infectionCollaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal care during surgical proceduresMaintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient informationAdhere to hospital policies, procedures and safety protocolsContribute to efficient theatre operations and positive patient flow outcomesBachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualificationCurrent unrestricted registration with AHPRAWorking rights within AustraliaDemonstrated Scrub Scout experience in OrthopaedicsAbility to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing clinical demandsConfidence to liaise with and support VMOsCommitment to patient safety, quality improvement and clinical excellenceExcellent communication, teamwork and time management skillsScrub Scout experience in other specialities including Urology, Plastics and General SurgeryPostgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing or working towards completionKnowledge of ACORN standards and guidelinesExperience with electronic patient documentation systemsWhy Healthscope?
