Job DescriptionTownsville City Council are seeking a proactive and detail-focused professional to support the efficient operation of store and inventory functions.
This role is responsible for accurately receiving, issuing, and storing stock in line with Council procedures, ensuring items are handled appropriately to minimise damage and maintain quality.
You will assist with stock enquiries and requisitions, ensuring all required documentation is complete, while maintaining up-to-date and accurate records within the Procurement Business Management System.Working closely with the Team Leader Inventory, you will help monitor stock levels, participate in regular stocktakes, and identify items requiring reordering or those that are overstocked.
A solid commitment to customer service is essential, ensuring all inventory requests are processed promptly and accurately within agreed timeframes, while delivering a positive experience for internal and external stakeholders.About the EmployerTownsville City Council is the largest local government authority in Northern Australia.
