Business Unit: Cubic Transportation SystemsJob SummaryThe Technical Trainer will be responsible for the analysis, design and delivery of training in a project delivery environment.
This role ensures identified customers and employees are trained in both content knowledge and relevant skills and provides feedback on their performance.
The role will meet training requirements within a program schedule by meeting business expectations, schedule timeframes, customer needs and expectations of the business.
This position typically requires an ability to work autonomously; incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision‐making authority.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate needs analysis activities to determine skill and knowledge requirementsDevelop and maintain training curriculum for assigned groups of employeesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., engineering, V&V;, program management, services, customers) to establish and define training content, prerequisite skills, knowledge required, and training outcomesFormat, research, design, and develop training course materials (including manuals, training plans, outlines, training objectives, instructor guides, student guides, workshop exercises, and performance tests) in accordance with company standards and stakeholder expectationsDetermine instructional delivery methods (e.g., individual training, group training, lectures, demonstrations, meetings, and workshops)Produce and edit training materials, including handouts, manuals, online courses, PowerPoint presentations and associated resources, using existing materials (where possible)



such as engineering documents and documents developed by other writersCollaborate with other trainers regarding concept design to ensure alignment and consistencyEnsure training is evaluated effectively and recorded for reporting and audit purposesEvaluate training material on an ongoing basis for continuous improvement based on feedback from trainers, managers, and own observations, and edit as appropriateDevelop and conduct assessments to measure trainee progress and evaluate training effectivenessReport progress updates on trainee participants, schedule and results to managementComply with APAC PMO Governance StandardsGeneral Duties and ResponsibilitiesComply with Cubic's Quality Management SystemComply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and proceduresComply with security in accordance with established policies and proceduresComply with Cubic Human Resources ProceduresOther duties as requestedMinimum Job RequirementsQualificationsFour‐year degree/diploma in a related field or equivalent experience in a relevant roleCertificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE*****)Experience with ITIL, ISO ***** and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) – desirableExperienceMinimum 2 years' experience in technical training rolesKnowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and measurement of training effectivenessDemonstrated success in the design, development, delivery and piloting of training in response to identified training needs and specifications, appropriately utilising a range of best practice training techniquesCapable of interpreting system specifications to design training materialIntermediate skills using Microsoft Office suite, i.e.



Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook, and Microsoft SharePointKnowledge and experience working in a project environment delivering technical systems; and experience with products comprised of software applications and hardware solutions would be highly regardedExperience in Transportation, Automated Fare Collection Systems, or banking/financial sectors would be highly regardedPersonal QualitiesStrong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to explain technical or complex topics to non‐technical audiencesHighly motivated self‐starter who can work effectively in a collaborative team environment or autonomouslyPositive, proactive approach with a focus on delivering outcomesCreativity and willingness to implement new approachesExcellent organisational, planning, and time management skillsAdaptable and effective in dynamic, fast‐paced environments where team members and stakeholders are based remotelyThe description provided above is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties, responsibilities and requirements.
