Overview
This role is ideal for an experienced Mechanical Engineer ready to step into a Lead role, with a strong focus on data centres and missionâcritical facilities.
What You'll Do
Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services (HVAC) for data centres and other complex facilities.
Take ownership of technical quality, coordination, and documentation across projects.
Develop solutions that support high availability, redundancy, and energy efficiency in missionâcritical environments.
Work directly with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to drive successful outcomes.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
Contribute to project planning, risk management, and commercial outcomes.
Support the growth of WSP's data centre capability in WA and nationally.
About You
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
8+ years' experience in building services consulting
Strong technical expertise in HVAC systems and mechanical services design
Experience delivering complex or largeâscale projects (data centre or missionâcritical experience highly regarded)
Confident leading design packages and engaging with stakeholders
Chartered / CPEng (or working towards) highly regarded
Strong communication skills with a collaborative and proactive approach
