GAMI Chicken Point Cook, which is located in Sanctuary Lakes Shopping Centre, is part of Australia's leading Korean fried chicken restaurant group, renowned for delivering authentic Korean flavours, exceptional customer service, and high-quality dining experiences.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team on a permanent full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
Preparing, cooking and presenting Korean and Western menu items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
Preparing ingredients, sauces, marinades and accompaniments for daily kitchen operations.
Monitoring food quality, portion control and presentation to ensure consistency.
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and sanitation in accordance with Australian Food Safety Standards.
Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Assisting with menu preparation and food production planning.
Monitoring stock levels, stock rotation and minimising food wastage.




Receiving and checking deliveries of food supplies.
Working collaboratively with the Head Chef/Cook and kitchen team during busy service periods.
Assisting in training junior kitchen staff where required.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.
Complying with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Applicants should possess:
At least two years of relevant commercial cooking experience; or
A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Solid organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Availability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Experience preparing Korean cuisine will be highly regarded but is not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate.
