Join One of Australia's Leading Metal Packaging ManufacturersNCI Packaging is seeking an experienced Aerosol Line Setter / Canmaking Technician to join our Preston manufacturing team.This is an opportunity for a highly skilled canmaking skilled who enjoys working with high-speed production equipment, solving complex mechanical problems, and driving world-class manufacturing performance.If you have experience in aerosol or metal can manufacturing and enjoy being the technical expert on the production floor, we'd like to hear from you.About the RoleYou will be responsible for setting, optimising and troubleshooting our high-speed aerosol can production lines to ensure maximum safety, quality, productivity and equipment reliability.Your responsibilities will include:Setting up and optimising aerosol can manufacturing equipmentDiagnosing mechanical and process faults quickly and effectivelyMinimising downtime through proactive fault finding and machine adjustmentsSupporting production teams to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) targetsDriving continuous improvement initiativesCoaching and developing operators on machine settings and best practiceWorking closely with Maintenance and Production to maximise Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)Maintaining high standards of product quality and line performanceAbout YouYou are a hands-on technical specialist who enjoys solving problems and keeping production running efficiently.You will ideally have:Experience in metal can manufacturing or aerosol can productionStrong mechanical aptitude with excellent fault-finding skillsExperience setting and optimising high-speed manufacturing equipmentThe ability to quickly diagnose machine and process issuesA strong understanding of quality requirements in can manufacturingExcellent communication and leadership skillsA proactive approach to continuous improvementThe ability to remain calm under pressure while making sound technical decisionsHighly Regarded ExperienceExperience operating or setting equipment such as:Soudronic weldersLeak testersNeckersBeadersHigh-speed conveying systemsAutomated inspection equipmentExperience within the metal packaging industry will be highly regarded.Why Join NCI?
