By removing the operational complexity of banking, Constantinople enables our client banks to focus on their customers and thebusinessof banking.The RoleThis is a senior specialist position reporting directly to the Head of Risk & Compliance.
You will beresponsible for the quality and rigour of our risk and compliance framework across the full lifecycle from risk identification through to assurance, covering every product and service we operate onbehalf of our banking clients.You will work directly with clients (banks and ADIs) and internal product and engineering teams.
Therole requires someone who can operate autonomously, exercise strong judgement and bring genuinedepth of expertise across the compliance and risk management disciplines.You will also play a key role in a strategic initiative to leverage AI and automation to scale thefunction's capacity and efficiency, while ensuring that expert human oversight and accountabilityremain at the core of everything we deliver.What You'll DoRisk & Compliance FrameworkRisk identification and assessment: Lead the identification, assessment, and rating of risks across all products and services (retail banking, lending, payments, deposits, small business).
Ensure risk registers are current, complete, and aligned to regulatory expectations.Control design and testing: Design, review, and validate controls across the control environment.
Develop and oversee control testing programs, leveraging automation where appropriate, and ensure findings are accurately reported and remediated.Monitoring and reporting: Establish and maintain ongoing monitoring of key risk indicators.
Build scalable compliance monitoring processes, including through the use of modern tooling.
Produce board and client-ready reporting.Policy and procedure: Own the compliance policy framework.
Draft, review, and maintain policies, procedures, and standards.




Ensure documentation remains current as regulations and products evolve.Regulatory obligations management: Maintain the obligation register.
Map obligations to controls.
Track regulatory change and ensure timely implementation across all relevant frameworks (APRA, ASIC, AUSTRAC, Privacy Act, AML/CTF).
Advisory and GovernanceProduct advisory: Act as the embedded risk and compliance advisor to product and engineering teams.
Provide clear, pragmatic guidance on new product launches, changes, and client onboarding.Governance support: Support board and executive governance forums.
Prepare risk and compliance papers, dashboards, and escalation reports.Assurance: Plan and execute assurance activities across the first and second line.
Identify gaps, make recommendations, and track remediation.Client-FacingClient engagement: Represent the risk and compliance function directly to banking clients.
Respond to client due diligence requests, audits, and regulatory inquiries with confidence and authority.Trust and credibility: Build and maintain trust with client risk and compliance counterparts.
You will be a key face of our framework to some of the most regulated institutions in the country.AI-Enabled ScalingStrategic initiative: Work with the Head of Risk & Compliance to explore, implement, and govern the use of AI and automation across the GRC function - including risk assessments, control testing, obligation mapping, policy drafting, monitoring, and reporting.Human oversight and quality assurance: Ensure that all AI-assisted outputs meet the same standard as if produced by a senior compliance skilled.
You are the quality gate and the accountable expert.Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities where technology and automation can increase the function's capacity and consistency without compromising rigour or accountability.Who You Are10+ years of experience in risk management, compliance,



or GRC within financial services (banking, payments, or fintech strongly preferred).
Deep working knowledge of Australian prudential and regulatory frameworks (APRA, ASIC, Privacy Act).
Demonstrated expertise across the full risk and compliance lifecycle: risk identification, assessment, control design, control testing, monitoring, regulatory change, policy management, assurance and governance.Hands‐on experience using AI or automation tools for professional work - drafting, analysis, research, or process improvement.Experience operating across retail banking products: deposits, lending (consumer and small business), payments (NPP, BPAY, cards), and related operational processes.Autonomous and self-directed.

You can explain complex regulatory concepts in plain language to technical and non-technical audiences.Comfortable with technology.
You must be fluent in working with digital tools, data, and modern ways of working.Highly DesirableExperience working in or with a BaaS (Banking-as-a-Service), platform banking, or outsourced banking operations provider.Experience building or operating a GRC function in a growth-stage environment where you had to do more with less.Strong client-facing skills - you can hold your own in a room with a bank's Chief Risk Officer and their compliance team.InclusionTo build technology and products that are used and loved by people and solve real-world problems, we need to build a team with many different perspectives and experiences.
