You will work in a collaborative environment, focusing on optimizing network performance and reliability while addressing complex technical challenges.Key factsLocation: Sydney, Australia Engagement: Contract Team: TechnologyWhat you'll doOversee the deployment of infrastructure in Asia Pacific data centers, focusing on network and security platforms.Lead initiatives to enhance the capacity and reliability of our infrastructure.Develop and maintain our international LAN/WAN and security environment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.Collaborate with developers and hardware engineers on projects requiring secure and scalable platforms.Monitor network and infrastructure performance, addressing alerts and identifying potential issues proactively.Engage in incident response efforts,



working with internal teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve service disruptions.Requirements3 to 8 years of experience in a network engineering role within an operational setting.Proficient in managing network systems using IaC methodologies.Familiar with multi-zone, multi-tier firewall architectures across the APAC region.Strong understanding of network transport and routing protocols, including TCP/UDP, OSPF, BGP, and Multicast.Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting data center environments.Skilled in monitoring and managing diverse international WAN networks.In-depth knowledge of L2/L3 networking, firewalls, and network security.Experience with IaC tools such as Git, Terraform, or Ansible.Relevant certifications like Arista ACE, PCNSE, CCNP, or CCIE are advantageous.Nice to haveFamiliarity with cloud networking solutions.Experience in financial services or trading environments.Skills & toolsInfrastructure as Code (IaC)Network monitoring toolsFirewall management systemsRouting protocolsThis position is open to candidates requiring visa sponsorship.Optiver offers a competitive salary and a range of employee benefits, including professional development opportunities and wellness programs.
