This super-base accommodates **** personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF, as well as being home to the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine.The health centre operates a 16-bed low dependency ward 24/7.
It also provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmaceutical and rehabilitation services.Standard operating hours are generally 07:*******:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).
What You'll DoAs the psychologist, you will be a valued member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team,



supporting the diverse and complex mental health needs of active ADF personnel.Conducting comprehensive intakes and psychological assessmentsDelivering evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to individual needsUtilising psychometric assessments in line with your scope of practiceManaging your own caseload with a high level of qualified autonomyCoordinating and overseeing externally referred casesParticipating in crisis response, risk assessment, and the development of risk management plansWorking collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary environmentThis role offers flexibility to practice within your areas of interest and expertise, while contributing to the wellbeing and operational readiness of Defence members.What You BringTo be successful in this role, you will have:Unrestricted AHPRA general registration as a PsychologistMinimum two years' Post Graduate experience within last five years in mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health SettingComprehensive assessment skills and experience in 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' and 'Psychological Therapy' as per Medicare ScheduleCurrent CPR certification (HLTAID009)Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred careAustralian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance
