Full Stack Engineer - React, Node.js & AWSJoin a leading public sector organisation and help build the next generation of digital tools supporting its people and services.Working within an experienced digital development team, you will design, develop and support web and mobile applications used across the organisation.
This is primarily a full-stack engineering role, with a solid focus on React, Node.js, TypeScript and AWS serverless technologies.The opportunityYou'll work across the full software development lifecycle, translating business and technical requirements into secure, reliable and maintainable software solutions.Alongside developing new applications and features, you'll support an established portfolio of digital platforms through troubleshooting, optimisation and continuous improvement.
You'll collaborate with developers, business analysts, architects and stakeholders across technology and the broader organisation.What you'll doDesign, develop, test and maintain web applications, APIs and integrationsBuild frontend and backend functionality using React, TypeScript and Node.jsDevelop and deploy serverless solutions in AWS, including AWS LambdaInvestigate application and integration issues, identify root causes and implement effective fixesSupport existing applications through maintenance, optimisation and production supportContribute to solution design, estimation, planning, testing and release activitiesProduce high-quality technical documentation, including solution designs, code documentation and testing recordsIdentify opportunities to improve performance, security,



code quality and development practicesCollaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout deliveryWhat we're looking forYou'll bring:Strong commercial experience with React, TypeScript and Node.jsExperience building and deploying applications in an AWS serverless environmentHands-on experience developing AWS Lambda functionsExperience designing, developing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrationsExperience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as SQL Server and DynamoDBDemonstrated experience developing, deploying and supporting production applicationsA solid understanding of SDLC practices, including source control, code reviews, debugging, testing and release managementStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent documentation skills and close attention to detailThe ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersA pragmatic approach to delivery in a fast-moving environmentExperience with React Native or mobile application development will be well regarded but is not essential.Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline are preferred.
