is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused Accountant to support the operational success of our growing organisation.
We are seeking a passionate and skilled full-time accountant 38 hours per week with relevant qualifications and work experience to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients, including small businesses, corporations, and individuals, delivering tailored accounting and advisory services.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on accounting and business matters.
Prepare and complete end-to-end payroll, BAS, PAYG, and superannuation obligations.
Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents for clients in compliance with relevant regulations.
Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
Analyze financial data and provide insights to clients by identifying opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices for their business.
Assist in business development efforts, including client acquisition.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and industry trends to provide informed advice to clients and the team.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective accounting practices.
Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, taxation legislation, and statutory reporting requirements.
Assist with clients external audits and regulatory reporting obligations.
Liaise with clients, the ATO, ASIC and other government authorities.
Identify accounting errors, missing information and compliance issues.
Develop and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company data




Support the implementation and optimisation of ERP and cloud-based accounting systems
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across business operations.
Skills and Experience
Minimum Bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce, finance, or equivalent accounting qualification.
Minimum 3 years' work experience as an accountant.
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and financial reporting requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Positive, proactive and responsible attitude.
Strong communication and client-service skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Practical experience preparing financial statements, tax returns, BAS and IAS.
Good knowledge of Australian taxation, GST and accounting requirements.
Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Xero Tax or similar software.
