Maintenance Fitter | Deer ParkKeep production running at its best by combining your fitter expertise with hands-on maintenance skills.Pipemakers is seeking an experienced and mechanically minded Maintenance Fitter to join our manufacturing team in Deer Park.This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified fitter who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, solving mechanical challenges and ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently.
You'll play a key role in supporting production through expert die setting, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.About the RoleReporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for carrying performing preventative maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting to maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime and support efficient production.Your responsibilities will include:Conducting preventative maintenance, repairs and fault-finding on manufacturing equipmentInspecting machine performance and identifying quality or mechanical issues during productionMaintaining tooling, ensuring correct storage, cleanliness and accurate tooling recordsCollaborating with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime and support productive operationsOrdering maintenance parts and updating tooling records as requiredAssisting with continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality and equipment performanceMaintaining a safe workplace by following site procedures, SOPs, PPE requirements and workplace health and safety practicesAbout YouTo be successful in this role,



you will bring:Trade qualification as a Fitter with 3–5 years' experience as a Maintenance Fitter or in a similar manufacturing roleStrong communication and relationship-building skillsA proactive and safety-focused approachThe ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomouslyStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsProficiency with computer systems and maintenance documentationA current Forklift LicenceDesirableExperience within plastics, extrusion or manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of extrusion tooling, PVC, OPVC or PE production processesExperience with preventative maintenance systems and equipment troubleshootingUnderstanding of quality systems, continuous improvement practices and workplace health and safety requirementsWhy Join Us?
