Our reputation of community minded, inclusive and progressive is matched to none.Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Dietitian to join the Dietetics department.Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.Services are provided through our six main campuses:Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital.
In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.About the Role:The role will require high level expertise in diabetes, focussing on managing individuals with complex unstable diabetes at high risk of hospital admission.This position will work within Broadmeadows Hospital's Hospital Admission Risk Progam (HARP) multidisciplinary diabetes team including endocrinologists, diabetes nurse educators, allied health clinicians and other relevant operational staff to deliver high quality dietetic services.To be successful in this role you will have:Minimum 3 years clinical experienceDemonstrated knowledge and experience in the area of diabetesWell-developed interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills that facilitate an ability to workeffectivelyAn ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide staff/ community educationDemonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skillsCommitment to ongoing professional developmentCompetent computer skills particularly in word processing and Internet use, and theability to learn dedicated softwareUnderstanding of the cultural diversity of the communityCurrent Victorian Driver LicenseFor further details, please refer to the Position Description.
