STARplex Swim Club is one of Northern Adelaide's leading competitive swimming programs, with a strong track record of success at both state and national levels.
The club has produced Commonwealth Games Trials finalists, national and state record holders, and continues to achieve outstanding results, including multiple national finalists and medallists across Age and Open Championships.

The region is also located on the doorstep of the renowned Barossa Valley, offering world‐class wineries, restaurants, recreation opportunities, and a relaxed lifestyle.About The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Coach to join our coaching team.
This role will take primary responsibility for leading and developing our State Squad, including programming, session delivery, athlete development, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to support our Head Coach and Senior Assistant Coach across selected National Age and Open Squad sessions, providing valuable exposure to a high-performance environment and the athlete development pathway.




This is an excellent opportunity for a coach looking to take the next step in their career, with genuine ownership of a key squad and the opportunity to work alongside experienced coaches within one of Northern Adelaide's leading swimming programs.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coach the State SquadDesign and deliver age‐appropriate training programs and periodisation plansMonitor athlete progress, provide feedback, and support individual developmentFoster a positive, inclusive, and high‐performing squad cultureBuild strong relationships with swimmers, parents, coaches, and club stakeholdersAttend targeted competitions and support swimmers at eventsAssist with National Age and Open Squad sessions as requiredSupport broader program initiatives, including athlete retention, recruitment, and club promotionsEnsure all coaching activities are delivered in accordance with club standards, policies and safety requirementsAbout YouYou are an enthusiastic coach who is passionate about competitive swimming and developing young athletes.
