We are looking for a skilled and motivated Additive Manufacturing Technician to join our growing team.
In this role, you will support the day-to-day operation of our additive manufacturing department, working across machine preparation, build setup, post-processing, inspection, and general production support.This is a practical, workshop-based role suited to someone who enjoys precision work, problem-solving, and being involved in the full manufacturing process from digital file through to finished part.You will work closely with our Production manager, engineers, technicians, and sales team to ensure customer jobs are produced accurately, safely, and on time.Key responsibilitiesPrepare additive manufacturing machines for production buildsAssist with build setup, material handling, and machine operationCarry out part removal, cleaning, post-processing, and finishing tasksSupport powder handling, sieving, recycling, and general material control where requiredRead and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and job instructionsPerform basic inspection and dimensional checks on manufactured partsMaintain accurate job records, production notes, and quality documentationCarry out routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and workshop housekeepingWork closely with engineers, sales,



and production staff to support customer requirementsIdentify production issues and assist with practical problem-solvingFollow all workplace health, safety, and quality proceduresSupport continuous improvement across additive manufacturing processesAbout youWorking closely with our Production manager, engineers, and technicians, you will be a key part of a down-to-earth team that values accountability, clear communication, safety, and continuous improvement.You will have a practical manufacturing mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures while still thinking critically when problems arise.
This role would suit someone with experience in additive manufacturing, 3D Printing or other technical workshop environments.Skills & experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical abilityAbility to read and understand technical drawingsHigh attention to detail and accuracyGood computer skills and ability to follow digital work instructionsStrong time management, organisation, and prioritisation skillsAbility to work safely with machinery, tools, and production equipmentPractical problem-solving mindsetWillingness to learn recent technologies and processesAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamGood communication skills and a positive attitudeExperience with additive manufacturing, 3D printing, or Laser powder bed fusionCAD/CAM experienceExperience with post-processing, polishing, linishing, blasting, or finishing partsExperience with inspection tools such as verniers, micrometers, gauges, or Gom Scanning softwareExperience working under ISO ****, AS****, or similar quality systemsKnowledge of titanium, aluminium, stainless steel, Inconel, or other engineering materialsExperience with production documentation, job tracking, or ERP systems
