Role Description
Heathcote Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Enrolled Nurse to join our Residential Aged Care Unit (RACU).
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high‐quality, person‐centred care and to support a positive environment for residents, families and staff.
As an Enrolled Nurse at Heathcote Health, you will provide safe, effective and evidence‐based nursing care to residents while supporting the overall quality and performance of the RACU.
Working under the delegation of the Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessment, observation, care planning and communication, ensuring residents receive holistic, person‐centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high‐quality nursing care to residents in accordance with best practiceSupport optimal care quality and contribute to the smooth operational performance of the RACUAssist with policy and procedure development and reviewAlign practice with the organisation's Strategic and Business Plans, and relevant government strategiesFacilitate exceptional care through assessment, observation and evaluation of residentsProvide care that is holistic, respectful, and person‐centredMaintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and guidelines,
applying them to practiceImplement clinical interventions as delegated by the RN and justify practice using evidence‐based principlesCommunicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to support coordinated careBuild and maintain strong communication with residents and their families to support care planning and deliveryPractice according to ANCI professional codes and standards as they apply to Enrolled NursesAdminister medications in accordance with the Drugs and Poisons Act (Participate in ongoing professional development, including mandatory annual trainingComplete annual medication competency assessmentParticipate in the annual performance review and development process
About you
Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled NurseEndorsement for medication administrationA commitment to person‐centred care and evidence‐based practiceStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work all shifts, including nights and weekends
