Workforce Extensions Geelong is currently seeking an experienced Dispatch & Forklift Operator for an immediate opportunity based in Geelong & Hoppers Crossing with a leading supplier.
This role offers a great opportunity to join a busy warehouse and dispatch operation where no two days are the same.
We are also looking to connect with quality candidates for upcoming opportunities across Geelong and Melbourne's western suburbs.
About the Role
Working within a fast-paced warehouse environment, you will be responsible for coordinating dispatch activities, operating forklifts, managing inventory movements, and ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
This position requires a hands‐on individual who is equally comfortable operating a forklift, preparing orders, and managing computer-based dispatch and inventory systems.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving incoming stock and deliveriesPicking, packing and preparing customer ordersLoading and unloading trucks using a forkliftManaging dispatch documentation and freight bookingsProcessing delivery dockets, invoices and purchase ordersUpdating inventory and stock movement recordsConducting stock checks and cycle countsEnsuring warehouse presentation and organisation is maintainedLiaising with customers,



suppliers and transport providersAssisting with general warehouse and yard duties as requiredFollowing workplace safety procedures and maintaining compliance standards
Skills & Experience
Current LF Forklift Licence (not essential)Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or dispatch environmentPrevious dispatch, stores, warehouse or logistics experienceStrong computer skills and confidence using inventory, dispatch or ERP systemsExperience processing invoices, delivery documentation and receiving stockHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable work ethic and commitment to workplace safety
Highly Regarded
Experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineering or trade supply environmentsPrevious experience with freight booking systemsExperience using inventory management or warehouse management softwareCurrent driver's licence and reliable transport
