We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.About the RoleAs an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will provide personalised home care support to older Australians in Rockhampton and surrounds so they can continue living independently in their own homes.
You will travel between clients' homes to support multiple people each day, so a willingness to travel is essential (you will be reimbursed $1.01 per KM travelled while you are working).
We have a Permanent Part Time opportunity with shifts available between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work and no evening or overnight shifts.

while developing their skills and building a career.Key ResponsibilitiesDomestic assistance such as light house cleaning and meal preparationPersonal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and wellbeingCommunity access to medical appointments and social activitiesProvide support with daily tasks and routinesBuild positive relationships with clients and their familiesSkills & ExperienceCertificate III in Individual Support, Ageing Support or similarAn Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.Robust communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationshipsPassionate about making a positive impact in our ageing communityA current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients.
