Federation Children is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Educator - Certificate 3 to join our childcare team in Geelong VIC ****.
This is a fulltime position that plays a vital role in supporting the development, wellbeing and learning of children in our care.
As an Assistant Educator you will work alongside our qualified educators to create nurturing, safe and stimulating environments where children can thrive, learn and grow.
This role is essential to our commitment to providing high quality early childhood education and care services to our community.What you'll be doingSupporting qualified educators in the planning, implementation and evaluation of learning activities that promote children's development across all developmental domainsAssisting with the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and engagement at all timesHelping to maintain clean, hygienic and well organised learning environments that are conducive to children's play, exploration and learningSupporting children with daily routines including mealtimes, rest time and personal hygiene practicesObserving and documenting children's learning and development to contribute to individual learning plansBuilding positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleaguesAssisting with the implementation of policies and procedures related to child safety, health and wellbeingSupporting educators in responding to children's individual needs, interests and cultural backgroundsHelping to create inclusive,
welcoming environments that celebrate diversity and promote belongingContributing to a collaborative team environment and supporting the delivery of quality childcare servicesWhat we're looking forCompleted or currently working towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualificationA genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and developmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families and colleaguesThe ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow the direction of qualified educatorsA commitment to child safety, wellbeing and duty of careUnderstanding of and commitment to inclusive practices and cultural diversityPhysical capability to engage in active play and support children's physical activitiesA current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain oneFirst Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within the first three months of employment)Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude towards ongoing professional developmentAbout usFederation Children is a dedicated provider of quality early education in the Geelong region.
