Canfab Powdercoating is seeking a Yardsman/Labourer/Trainee Powdercoater to join our team on a full-time basis at our Fyshwick facility in ACT ****.

This position offers the chance to grow from a labourer into a skilled tradesperson through hands‐on training and mentorship within a supportive work environment.What you'll be doingPerforming general yard duties including material handling, stock management, and organisation of work areasAssisting with the preparation of components and materials for powdercoating processesSupporting experienced powdercoaters by learning and observing techniques and best practicesOperating and maintaining basic equipment used in the powdercoating operation under supervisionCleaning and maintaining work areas to ensure a safe, organised and hygienic workplaceFilling in job sheets and measuring jobs ready for productionAssisting with the loading and unloading of goods and finished productsContributing to a collaborative team environment and supporting colleagues as requiredFollowing all workplace health and safety procedures and protocolsProgressively developing powdercoating skills through structured on-the-job trainingLoading and unloading trucks using forkliftWhat we're looking forA strong work ethic and genuine motivation to learn a skilled trade in the powdercoating industryAbility to follow instructions and work safely in a manufacturing environmentPhysical fitness and capability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and carrying materialsAttention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisationGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamReliability, punctuality and a positive attitude to workCurrent driver's licenceForklift licence a mustPrevious experience in manufacturing, powdercoating or related industries is desirable but not essentialWillingness to undertake training and develop new skills on the jobWhat we offerAt Canfab Powdercoating, we are committed to supporting the development and wellbeing of our team members.
