This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in providing exceptional animal care and supporting our veterinary surgeons in delivering high-quality veterinary services.
As a Veterinary Nurse, you will be at the heart of our practice, ensuring the wellbeing of our patients whilst maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and clinical excellence.Key responsibilitiesAssisting veterinary surgeons during surgical procedures, including instrument preparation, sterilization and theatre managementOur Veterinary Nurses work all areas of the practice from reception, to surgery to attending call outs with our vets.Providing pre- and post-operative care to animals, including monitoring vital signs and managing recovery protocolsConducting routine clinical assessments and diagnostic procedures under veterinary supervisionAdministering medications, vaccinations and other treatments as directed by the veterinary surgeonPerforming venipuncture, blood sampling and laboratory testing proceduresProviding nursing care to hospitalized animals, including feeding, wound care and hygiene managementMaintaining detailed and accurate clinical records and patient documentationOperating and maintaining veterinary equipment, including sterilising instruments and managing stock levelsCommunicating compassionately with clients regarding their animal's care, treatment plans and recovery progressSupporting the wider veterinary team in maintaining a clean, safe and organized clinic environmentContributing to animal welfare initiatives and promoting best practice animal health and safety standardsWhat we're looking forCurrent cert Iv in Veterinary Nursing preferred but not a requirementDemonstrated experience working in a veterinary practice environment would be preferred,
