This role requires the ability to work efficiently and confidently in a fast-paced clinical setting,



where responsiveness and accuracy are critical to patient care.Collect blood and other samples from patients within the hospital with precision and careBuild and maintain robust working relationships with doctors, nurses and hospital staff to support patient care and respond to clinical prioritiesPrepare and package specimens for transport in line with procedures and turnaround requirementsMaintain accurate records and follow required processesSupport smooth day-to-day operations within a busy hospital environmentAbout YouWe are ideally seeking an experienced Pathology Collector with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection and experience working within a hospital environment.We also welcome applications from candidates with a background in healthcare (e.g. aged care, disability support or similar) who are looking to transition into pathology.Above all, you will be comfortable working in a quick-paced hospital environment, managing changing priorities and staying calm under pressure.Qualifications And ExperiencePrevious experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essentialCertificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essentialPrevious experience working in a hospital or acute setting is desirable but not essentialA background in healthcare (e.g. aged care, disability, nursing) or a strong customer-facing backgroundRequirementsA valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one prior to commencementAbility to provide evidence of immunisation requirements including Hepatitis BKey Skills And AttributesTo be successful in this role, you will have:A genuine care for people, with a high level of empathy and professionalismStrong communication skills, with a natural ability to connect with others, explain clearly and build trustAbility to build and maintain effective working relationships with clinical staff and stakeholdersAbility to follow processes and procedures with accuracy and consistencyStrong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks based on clinical urgencySound judgement, with a willingness to learn and the ability to adapt,

This requires a commitment to full-time hours for the first 2 weeks, followed by a minimum of 25 hours per week.
