The Source Bulk Foods is looking for confident, energetic and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistants to join our growing team across multiple Brisbane locations.
We have both Full-time and Part-time opportunities available across Brisbane's Northside, South Eastern and Western suburbs.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys starting conversations, recommending products, offering tastings and helping customers discover new foods.
We are not looking for someone who simply stands behind the counter.
We are looking for team members who are proactive, engaging and motivated to create an excellent customer experience while helping grow store sales.
About the Role
As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in driving sales and building strong customer relationships.
Warmly greeting and acknowledging every customer
Starting genuine conversations and understanding customer needs
Recommending suitable products, recipes and alternatives
Cross-selling complementary products
Offering tastings and confidently introducing new products
Helping first-time customers understand the Bulk-food shopping process
Promoting special offers, seasonal products and reusable packaging
Encouraging repeat visits through friendly and memorable service
Processing purchases accurately through the point-of-sale system
Replenishing stock and maintaining attractive, well-presented displays
Keeping the store clean, organized and ready for customers
Supporting the team to achieve daily and weekly sales targets
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Is confident approaching and speaking with customers
Enjoys selling through helpful recommendations rather than pressure
Has an energetic, positive and outgoing personality
Can identify opportunities to increase each customer's purchase
Is comfortable offering tastings and suggesting additional productsTakes pride in delivering exceptional customer service
Is reliable, punctual and accountable
Can work efficiently in a busy retail environment
Is comfortable with cleaning, lifting stock and completing physical tasks
Can work independently and as part of a team
Is available for a flexible roster, including weekends
Retail or customer-service experience is preferred.
Previous sales experience, food retail experience or a strong interest in cooking, healthy food and sustainability would be highly regarded.
