As our Buildings and Places business continues to grow across Australia, New Zealand and the wider region, we're looking for an experienced Associate Structural Engineer to join our Brisbane team.This senior role is suited to an experienced structural engineer who enjoys combining technical excellence with client engagement, project delivery and business development.
The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects, build strong client relationships, mentor developing engineers and contribute to the continued growth of our structural engineering capability.
Working alongside a highly skilled team, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality structural solutions across a broad range of projects while helping strengthen Jacobs' reputation as a trusted advisor to clients across both public and private sectors.Key Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality structural engineering design, assessment, rehabilitation and consultancy services across a range of building projectsUndertake technical design, review and assurance activities, providing sound engineering judgement throughout project deliveryManage and coordinate project delivery activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budgetBuild and maintain solid relationships with clients, understanding their needs and supporting successful project outcomesContribute to business development activities, including identifying opportunities,



supporting pursuits and assisting with work-winning initiativesPrepare and contribute to proposals, bids and tender submissionsSupport project managers and section leaders in achieving successful commercial and delivery outcomesCollaborate with client account teams to identify emerging opportunities and strengthen client relationshipsRepresent Jacobs at client meetings, industry forums and technical events where appropriateMentor and support junior engineers, helping to build capability within the teamMaintain compliance with Jacobs' quality assurance processes and project delivery standardsCollaborate effectively with colleagues across regions and disciplines to deliver integrated solutions for clientsHere's what you'll needDegree qualification in Civil or Structural EngineeringDemonstrated experience delivering structural engineering solutions within a consulting environmentStrong technical capability across structural design, assessment and project deliveryExperience managing project responsibilities and contributing to successful commercial outcomesWell-developed client relationship and stakeholder management skillsAbility to identify and support business development and work-winning opportunitiesExcellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience coaching, mentoring or supporting the development of junior team membersStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesResilient and adaptable approach, with a collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
