Using a trauma-informed and empowerment-based approach, you will help clients navigate financial stress while supporting their participation in decision-making.You will manage your own caseload, triaging and referring clients to appropriate services, and working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver holistic support.
Maintaining accurate records, building strong networks, and contributing to organisational objectives are key aspects of the role, alongside supporting vulnerable clients facing debt and financial difficulty.This is a contracted role until April ****.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide financial counselling via phone and face-to-face, including information, advocacy, and referralsSupport clients to make informed decisions and improve their long-term financial capabilityWork respectfully with clients from diverse backgrounds with complex needsManage client caseloads, including maintaining accurate and timely recordsTriage and refer clients to appropriate internal and external support servicesBuild and maintain strong networks with community partners and service providersCollaborate with team members to achieve positive client outcomesEnsure compliance with policies, procedures, and Financial Counselling Australia standardsAbout YouHold a diploma of Financial CounsellingHave experience supporting individuals in financial distress,
