Full time ongoing position | 80 hours per fortnightClinical and Operational leadership roleDrive excellence in patient care, workforce development, quality improvement, and service performanceAbout the roleWe are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to lead 7B, a 32-bed Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant ward within Medical Services at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Providing visible clinical and operational leadership, you will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care while fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.Working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, you will oversee the ward's day-to-day operations, support patient flow, workforce capability and continuous improvement, and drive excellence in patient care, quality, and service performance.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced nurse leader to influence clinical practice, mentor and develop staff, lead service improvements, and contribute to strategic initiatives across Medical Services and the Parkville Precinct.7B delivers specialist care for patients requiring haematology and bone marrow transplant services, with a strong multidisciplinary approach focused on safe, timely, effective and person-centred care for patients with complex needs.Key AccountabilitiesLeading, coaching, and developing a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient careManaging day-to-day ward operations including staffing, rostering, and workload allocationSupporting patient flow and access through effective bed management and coordinationDriving quality improvement, patient safety initiatives,
