Work on a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles, trailers and mobile equipment
The Opportunity
As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.
Your day will include:
Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs
We offer both AM and PM shifts to support operational requirements.
You'll also participate in an on-call roster approximately once every six weeks
Servicing trucks, trailers and heavy mobile equipment
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
Test driving and operating equipment to confirm repairs have been completed successfully
Replacing and repairing defective components
Maintaining high safety and quality standards in the workshop
About You
We're looking for a safety-focused mechanic who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
You'll bring:
Certificate III in Automotive (Mechanical – Heavy Vehicle Road Transport) or Light Vehicle Mechanic qualification
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and mechanical systems
Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence (highly regarded)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
