The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-quality executive, administrative and secretariat support to senior executives.
The successful candidate will support at least one SES officer and manage a broad range of executive support functions in a fast-paced government environment.
Key Responsibilities
Executive and administrative support to SES executives
Complex diary and calendar management
Inbox and workflow management
Meeting coordination and secretariat support
Travel bookings and logistics
Records and document management
Preparation of briefs, correspondence and meeting papers
Minute taking and action tracking
Stakeholder liaison across internal and external organisations
General executive office administration
RequirementsCurrent NV1 Security Clearance
Demonstrated Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant experience
Experience supporting Senior Executive Service (SES) officers
Excellent diary and inbox management skills
Experience preparing briefs, reports, correspondence and meeting minutes
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Qualified, proactive and flexible approach
Australian Government experience
DFAT or Commonwealth agency experience
Records management systems
Corporate workflow systems
