About the RoleKista Groups Pty Ltd (T/A Casa De Amor Mexican Bar & Kitchen) is seeking anexperienced and dedicated Cook to join our growing team in Hobart, Tasmania.This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced,professional kitchen committed to delivering authentic Mexican cuisine andexceptional customer experiences.
The successful applicant will play a key role infood preparation, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the kitchen team.Key Responsibilities1) Prepare, season and cook a variety of authentic Mexican dishes includingtacos, enchiladas, fajitas, nachos, taquitos, grilled meats, seafood dishes,rice, beans, sauces and other menu items2) Assist with daily food preparation and mise en place for service.Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchenoperations.3) Monitor food quality, taste, presentation and portion sizes to maintainconsistency with the restaurant's standards.4) Prepare ingredients including meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces, marinadesand garnishes before service.5) Maintain appropriate food storage, stock rotation and inventory control andadvise the Head Chef or Restaurant Manager of ordering requirements.
.6) Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with recipes, kitchen proceduresand customer dietary requirements, including gluten-free, vegetarian and Vegan options7) Assist with menu development by providing feedback on recipes, preparationmethods and presentation where required8) Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen at all times.9) Follow all Food Safety Standards and workplace health and safetyprocedures.10) Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining high standards.11)



Assist with menu preparation and contribute ideas for seasonal specialswhere appropriate.12) Work collaboratively with chefs and front-of-house staff to ensure efficientservice and customer satisfactionSkills & ExperienceThe successful applicant must have:1) At least 1 years of full time work experience as a Cook in a commercialkitchen; or2) A qualification equivalent to at least an Australian Certificate IV in CommercialCookery or another relevant discipline3) Experience working in a busy restaurant environment.4) Strong organisational and time management skills.5) Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.6) A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food quality andcustomer service.7) Current Food Safety knowledge.
