Advantage Sports & Leisure specializes in the design and construction of sports and recreational facilities and has been operating for over 30 years throughout Queensland and abroad.The Operations Support role is a hands-on position responsible for supporting Project Managers with the delivery of projects onsite, coordinating materials and equipment, warehouse and logistics operations assisting constructions crews when required.This role requires a practical all-rounder handyman or carpenter who is organised, reliable, proactive and willing to assist across multiple areas of the business including onsite works, warehouse operations, deliveries and project support.We seek candidates with the following skills and experience:Experience in the construction industryHigh attention to detailStrong work ethicGood communication skillsExcellent time management skillsDriver LicenseWorking with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain one)Project Start-Up ResponsibilitiesConducting pre-site inspections prior to commencement of worksEnsuring sites and previous works meet ASL standards and quotation requirements prior to crews commencingIdentifying site issues and assisting with action plans or variations where requiredAssisting with preparation of professional and accurate site information packsReviewing site plans, drawings and layouts to ensure current revisions are being usedEnsuring WHS documentation, SWMS, QA documents and site inductions are completed and signed by all onsite personnelEnsuring all required tools,
materials and equipment are ready and available prior to mobilisationAttending site startup meetings with installers and project teams where requiredProject Delivery & Site Coordination Hands on work completing small onsite random task maintenance work – all round handy personAssisting with onsite coordination of crews, subcontractors and suppliersWorking in a hands-on capacity to support construction activities where requiredEnsuring Project Managers are updated regarding project progress, delays, defects or variations both verbally and in writingCoordinating deliveries, material movements and equipment to ensure projects continue efficientlyEnsuring correct material batches and products are used onsite to avoid inconsistencies or colour variationsConducting site pre-start meetings and toolbox discussions where requiredConducting QA inspections and ensuring required hold points are metTaking and submitting progress photos and site documentation throughout project durationEnsuring sites are maintained in a clean, safe and qualified condition at all timesAssisting to resolve onsite issues quickly to minimise project downtimePromoting a professional and positive work culture onsite at all timesProject Completion & DefectsConducting final inspections prior to project handoverEnsuring completed works meet ASL quality standards and client expectationsAssisting with identification and rectification of defectsCoordinating defect repairs and ensuring they are completed in a timely mannerEnsuring all sites are left clean, tidy and free of damageEnsuring all tools,
materials and equipment are returned, cleaned and stored correctlyCompleting defect reports and communicating outstanding items to Project Managers and installersWarehouse & Logistics ResponsibilitiesMaintaining warehouse cleanliness, organisation and safe working conditions at all timesConducting regular stocktakes and assisting with inventory controlOrganising materials, tools and equipment for upcoming projectsLoading and unloading deliveries safely and efficientlyDelivering materials, tools and equipment to and from project sites as requiredChecking incoming freight and reporting shortages or damaged goods immediatelyEnsuring tools and equipment are maintained, serviced and stored correctlyAssisting with management of waste, recycling and general warehouse upkeepEnsuring all project materials are labelled, stored and easily accessibleAssisting with fleet, trailer and equipment checks to ensure operational readinessGeneral ExpectationsPresent and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all timesMaintain strong communication with Project Managers, office staff, suppliers and onsite personnelBe proactive in identifying problems and assisting with solutionsPromote workplace safety and follow all company WHS requirementsAssist other departments and team members where requiredMaintain a positive attitude and willingness to assist across all areas of the businessBe self-motivated, shows initiative, and can work independently without needing constant direction.Hours and inclusions Mon – Fri, 8 hour days (38hr work week)Work vehicleToolsJob Type: Full-timePay: $80,****** – $90,****** per yearWork Location: In person
