Northern Centre for Child Development – Thornbury VICPart-time or Full-TimeThis role can be full-time or part time (2-3 days per week) depending on the applications we receive.

They're an essential part of our practice.If you're an experienced medical or Allied Health receptionist who enjoys being organised, solving problems, taking ownership and delivering outstanding customer service, we'd love to hear from you.About usNorthern Centre for Child + Adolescent Development and Northern Centre for Adult Psychology are established private psychology practices supporting children, adolescents, adults and families.Our clinicians deliver exceptional psychological care, and our reception team make that possible by creating a welcoming client experience, supporting our clinicians and helping the practice run efficiently every day.About the roleYou'll welcome clients into the clinic, coordinate bookings across multiple psychologists,



help new families navigate our services, manage cancellations, process payments and keep clinician diaries running smoothly.You'll play a key role in ensuring our appointment books remain full and efficient while delivering an exceptional experience for everyone who contacts the practice.Your responsibilities include:Welcoming clients into the clinicManaging incoming phone calls and emailsResponding to new enquiries and coordinating bookingsMatching clients with appropriate cliniciansMaintaining clinician calendars and maximising appointment utilisationManaging cancellations in accordance with practice policiesConfidently discussing fees and processing paymentsMaintaining accurate client recordsSupporting clinicians and the management team with day-to-day administrationContributing ideas to improve systems and the client experienceWho we're looking forWe're looking for someone who is:OrganisedCalm under pressureWarm but confidentProactiveSolutions-focusedHighly reliableSomeone who follows throughYou're naturally friendly and approachable, while also confident enough to maintain boundaries, uphold practice policies and keep things moving when needed.You understand that exceptional customer service means communicating clearly, managing expectations and balancing the needs of both our clients and our business.This role would suit someone who enjoys using their initiative,
