Annandale Christian College (Kindy–Year 12) is seeking reliable and motivated Casual Cleaners to join our team and support the presentation, cleanliness and safety of our College facilities.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring our campus reflects our commitment to excellence and care in a Christ-centred learning community.About the RoleThe primary function of the Cleaner is to carry out cleaning duties across all College facilities according to the cleaning schedule, as directed by the Lead Cleaner or Facilities leadership team.As an integral member of the College Resources Team, you will help maintain high presentation standards and ensure all OH&S; requirements relevant to cleaning in an educational setting are met.This is a casual position, with hours allocated across Monday to Friday as required.Key ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but are not limited to:Daily dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and wiping of surfacesDaily toilet cleaningChecking and refilling toilet paper, paper towels and other consumablesCleaning ceiling fans, air conditioning units and water bubblersWindow cleaningAdvising the Lead Cleaner of maintenance or repair needsCleaning and maintaining College equipmentWorking cooperatively within the Cleaning and Resources team.Building friendly and respectful relationships with staff and studentsSupporting the College Mission and ethosOther duties as directed by the Lead Cleaner or College leadershipKey Attributes & SkillsThe successful applicant will demonstrate:An active Christian faith, connected in a local church and able to provide a pastoral referenceSelf-motivation and initiativeReliability and a strong work ethicAbility to work autonomously, follow instructions and complete tasks thoroughlyGeneral knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipmentA commitment to safe work practicesBasic email competencyA commitment to child safety, and hold a current working with children blue card (paid) or ability to obtainPhysical RequirementsThis role involves a high level of physical activity.
Applicants must have the physical capacity to perform tasks such as:Standing and walking for extended periods (including stairs and ramps)Lifting and carrying rubbish and cleaning materials (in line with OH&S; practices)Pushing and pulling cleaning equipmentClimbing ladders to access high areasCrouching and kneeling to clean low areasReaching overhead and handling items of varying weightOperating cleaning equipment (e.g. steamers, pressure washers) safely and correctlyWhy Join ACC?
