Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical systems, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, robust attention to detail, and a passion for automotive repair.

Conduct routine vehicle servicing and maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections, and general tune-ups.
Diagnose and repair issues in suspension systems, including shock absorbers, struts, control arms, bushings, and related components.
Perform wheel alignment, balancing, and tyre fitting, ensuring optimal vehicle handling and safety.
Replace or repair worn or defective parts such as brake pads, discs, bearings, belts, hoses, and tyres.
Use computerised diagnostic equipment and manual testing tools to identify faults and assess vehicle performance.
Carry out engine diagnostics and minor engine repairs, ensuring proper functioning of fuel, ignition, and cooling systems.
Conduct road tests to verify repairs and ensure vehicles meet operational and safety standards.
Maintain accurate service records and job documentation for all work performed.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with workplace health and safety requirements and industry regulations.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, recommended repairs, and service outcomes.
Maintain workshop tools and equipment in a safe, clean, and operational condition.
Assist in maintaining stock levels of tyres, parts, and workshop consumables as required.
